I'm an artist, so that means I am good at, and willing to help you with anything remotely artistic in the whole universe.
Ok, so this post is not for those super star artists who are like fucking Captain Planet and contain all the powers combined to do everything and anything they want to do. Save the world in shit. No. Shut up. I'm talking about regular, human, artists, who don't have any super powers.. artists who are naturally talented in an area, or field, or genre of art.. not naturally talented in EVERY fucking field and genre and area and planet.
WTF was that? Captain Planet, really? stop being weird. STAHP.
Ok, I'm an artist, specifically a visual artist. I create visual art (you look at it), specifically paintings. I paint. Yea I can draw, but I don't like to because it's a lot slower than painting, and when I make art it's kind of like creative vomit, and I need it to come out faster.. using a pencil or pen to create a picture feels to me like I'm walking around with art puke in my mouth all day, waiting till I can finally spit it out.
ALSO, I can't just draw anything I want. That's another myth for another day my friend.
I say good day..
I HATE it when someone (who considers themselves to be un-artistic) - this is usually a family member, mind you - has their own little project going or is in touch with or knows someone, or is working with someone.. anyways, has something going on where some kind of artistic type project arises. It can be designing a skyscraper, but they're all like OH! Becca does art, I'm sure she'd be willing to design this architectural structure for us that will eventually have to hold people and be really safe so it doesn't fall down and kill all the people and then she'll feel really bad about it her whole life and never forgive herself for designing a horrible fucking sky scraper she might even go to jail. Yea! she's a great artist.
Myth#1: Not every artist does every kind of art. Respect them by understanding they have creative limitations just like everyone else.
