New Projects

I've been working on two little art projects lately. One is a series or spirit animals that represent the different chakras. The first one is Cobra, for root and sacral chakras. I kinda wish I only assigned one chakra to each animal but ah well... The root chakra stands for I AM, and sacral is I FEEL. I felt like the cobra, which is a sign of strength and wisdom would be perfect. And it's one of my personal spirit animals

While in Michael's a few weeks ago I came across a ten pack of mini canvases for a pretty good price, which is what ultimately led to my other project. I was wan't to do some sort of abstract mini series. I'm a HUGE pinterest addict.. lately on my newsfeed I've been seeing alot of old, corroded metal. It's always labeled Patina and Age. I got super interested in the look, and beautiful colors of the oxidization process. Perfect to explore in an abstract series!

I wasn't completely happy with them until I added the gold edge and a gloss varnish. It takes me awhile to actually commit a painting to completion, so I'm happy to say these are officially complete.
