OMG. I'm having an affair...

..WITH DIGITAL ART..

The paintbrush and I have been in a pretty serious relationship for about ten years now. We have our ups and downs, on's and off's.. but the brush has always been my number one, sense Pencil and I broke up. But recently I have been finding myself spending more and more time with the computer. And it's not like we're just hanging out, facebookin it up. We've actually been making art together. And the truth is.. I LOVE it! 

I'm not an expert at creating digital art or anything, and I don't have anykind of fancy photoshop programs. But I do have a pretty extensive collection of amazing photos on Pinterest, & a badass app on my tablet called PicsArt. I've always enjoyed editing photos, dressing them up with different filters and adjusting exposure and saturation. Then that kind of turned into creating cute little pictures of my daughter, just for fun. 

And then it turned into trying to create references for my paintings. I almost always work from a reference. I like to anyway. And with the kind of pictures I want to create, I wind up using five to ten different references.. I thought it would be easier if I digitally created the picture I wanted to paint. But then after actually doing that, and seeing how fucking awesome the digital version of my unpainted painting was.. I developed a pretty hard crush on digital art. Don't tell Paintbrush.
