My art has always been greatly influenced by music; songs I like or just happen to hear. Music creates a feeling or idea in me, and art is a way for me to express anything that's inside."I found I could say things with colors and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for" Radioactive ^ is a product of the song 'Radioactive' by Imagine Dragons. I heard this song and had this image in my head and knew I had to paint it. I'm waking up to ash and dust I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust I'm breathing in the chemicals I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus This is it, the apocalypse I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones enough to make my systems blow Welcome to the new age, to the new age I'm radioactive, radioctive Art is a form of therapy for me, but it's not always easy to put feelings, thoughts, and emotions onto paper [whether writing or painting] So I 'exercise'When I was in college and had some time in between classes I would sit in my car, listen to the radio, and draw. I would draw however the song made me feel, or just some sort of representation of the song , the lyrics, or the story it was telling. These drawings are obvious to the songs they were inspired by because they contain lyrics/titles in them. I try to do this as much as I can, although free time is sparse these days. It helps me stay 'loose' and able to more freely express myself in my art.
"Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance.. And so we are all connected in the great circle of life" - Mufasa [ That's right. I quoted Lion King ] Allow yourself to be inspired. Express yourself, let your creation be an extension of your soul. With our creations we inspire others. And so we are all connected in the great circle of ART *Mufasa voice* now go make art!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this concept! Music is such a huge part of my life and spirituality- I have an entire pin board dedicated to song lyrics and back when I journaled in college I would post Lyrics of the Day that would match how I felt.

Yes!! Art is an awesome way to express feelings, especially ones inspired by music. Music creates more feelings than an actual thought pattern ( for me anyways ) so it makes sense to express them in shapes and colors and pictures, and is a little easier than doing so with words.
